WORKSHOP/LECTURE PRESENTATION:

The workshops are interactive with the students, either for musicians or just for people interested in Music. My goal is to inspire the students helping them to build their
self esteem, creativity and determination, in order to bring forward their full potential. Engage and support reluctant musical learners. Share musical and instrumental knowledge. Introduce students to different forms of musical style and culture.

ANDREA MARCELLI

– Drummer/composer born in Rome, Italy. Graduated in Classical Clarinet and Jazz Compositions at the Conservatory L. Refice. He moved to USA in 1989 spending eight years in Los Angeles and four in New York. He is resident in Berlin/Germany since 2001.
Andrea recorded many CDS and two acclaimed solo CDs for legendary Major Jazz Label VERVE/PolyGram with his original compositions also for ESC medien, BHM, Lipstick Records, Soul Note and others. More than 200 of his compositions have been recorded in CDs. Two of Andrea’s compositions are included in “The European Real Book” and “The Digital Real Book part two” by www.shermusic.com. He performed and/or recorded with Wayne Shorter, Don Menza, David Liebman, Bob Mintzer, Harold Land, Markus Stockhausen, Eddie Gomez, Ekkehard Wölk, Mike Stern, Mitchel Forman, Allan Holdsworth, Alan Pasqua, John Patitucci, Eberhard Weber, Alphonso Johnson, Jeff Berlin, Eberhard Weber, Palle Danielsson, Arild Anderson, Frank Gambale, Hiram Bullock, Andy Summers, Bob Berg and others.
